Finally the months of hard work bear fruit with Bath CC’s first win at Castle Combe. Simon Ker wins in a two man break away

As normal the first part of the race was dominated by attempted breaks, Bath made sure that we had a rider in each break. After 8 of the 16 laps the break finally stuck and Simon “Kamikaze” Ker found himself in the right place. The rest of the Bath team then spent the next 30mins controlling the bunch and effectively disrupting the chase. Simon was far too strong for the other riders and won by a couple of bike lengths to what I believe is the first Bath CC win at Castle Combe.

Joel and Ruan led out the Bath train for the sprint for minor places and delivered Simon Martin to 8th.
